Study: Multiplexed nanopore amplicon sequencing to distinguish P. falciparum recrudescence from new infection in antimalarial drug trials
show Abstracthide Abstract
Multiplexed amplicon sequencing (AmpSeq) of a panel targeting six highly diverse P. falciparum microhaplotypes using the MinION (Oxford Nanopore Technology). The goal was to assess the sensitivity, specificity, robustness and genetic marker diversity of the nanopore AmpSeq assay for genotyping P. falciparum to distinguish recrudescence from new infection in clinical trials.
